RowVerse (RowVerse) – Official Rules & Terms 1. Acceptance of Rules By entering any RowVerse (“RowVerse”) race, challenge, competition, or milestone event, all participants agree to comply with these Official Rules & Terms. Failure to comply may result in penalties, removal of results, suspension, or permanent exclusion from RowVerse events. 2. Eligibility 2.1 Participants must register using accurate and truthful information. 2.2 RowVerse reserves the right to request proof of identity, age, or eligibility at any time. 2.3 Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. 3. Equipment Requirements 3.1 All performances must be completed solely on an official Concept2 rowing ergometer with a functioning PM5 monitor unless otherwise explicitly stated by RowVerse. 3.2 Use of modified equipment, altered firmware, simulation software, automated assistance, or any method intended to manipulate performance data is strictly prohibited. 3.3 Any manipulation, misuse, or tampering with equipment or software intended to alter results will result in immediate disqualification. 4. Submission Requirements 4.1 All race, challenge, and milestone submissions must include a clear screenshot of the ErgZone workout summary and/or result screen. 4.2 Screenshots must: Be unedited and uncropped Clearly display all required race metrics Clearly show date and time of completion Clearly show total distance and completion time Match the athlete’s registered RowVerse account details where requested 4.3 Required metrics may include, but are not limited to: Distance Time Split pace Stroke rate Calories Average watts 4.4 Any submission deemed unclear, incomplete, altered, manipulated, or unverifiable may be rejected at the sole discretion of RowVerse. 4.5 All submissions must be uploaded within the timeframe specified for each individual event or challenge. 5. Fair Competition & Integrity 5.1 Participants must complete all rows personally and without outside assistance unless expressly permitted within the event format. 5.2 The following are strictly prohibited: Submitting another athlete’s performance Sharing accounts Edited screenshots or altered data Software manipulation Use of bots, scripts, or automated tools Tampering with ergometer settings or results Any conduct deemed unfair or unsportsmanlike by RowVerse 5.3 RowVerse reserves the right to investigate any performance or submission at its sole discretion. 6. Verification Procedures 6.1 RowVerse may request additional verification evidence at any time before, during, or after an event. 6.2 Verification evidence may include, but is not limited to: Full workout screenshots Continuous video footage Live monitored verification rows Video evidence of the athlete rowing Monitor setup footage Identity confirmation 6.3 Competitors must provide requested verification evidence within the timeframe specified by RowVerse. 6.4 Failure or refusal to provide requested evidence may result in result removal, disqualification, suspension, or permanent exclusion from RowVerse events. 7. Disqualification & Penalties 7.1 RowVerse reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion, to: Reject submissions Remove results Apply penalties Disqualify competitors Suspend accounts Permanently ban participants from future events 7.2 Reasons for penalties or disqualification may include, but are not limited to: Suspected cheating False or manipulated submissions Failure to provide verification evidence Use of non-approved equipment Unsportsmanlike conduct Breach of these Rules & Terms 7.3 All decisions made by RowVerse regarding results, rankings, eligibility, verification, penalties, or disqualification are final. 8. Rankings & Results 8.1 All rankings, leaderboards, and results remain provisional until verified by RowVerse. 8.2 RowVerse reserves the right to correct errors, remove results, or amend rankings at any time. 9. Entry Fees & Refunds 9.1 All entry fees are final and non-refundable under any circumstances. 9.2 No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued for: Withdrawal Injury or illness Technical issues Scheduling conflicts Submission errors Disqualification Event cancellation or modification 10. Technical Issues 10.1 RowVerse accepts no responsibility for: Internet connectivity issues ErgZone outages Hardware malfunction Upload failures Corrupted files User error Platform downtime 10.2 Participants are solely responsible for ensuring their equipment, internet connection, and submissions function correctly. 11. Media & Content Usage 11.1 By participating, competitors grant RowVerse the right to use submitted names, images, screenshots, rankings, videos, and performances for promotional, marketing, editorial, and social media purposes without additional compensation. 11.2 Participants confirm that any submitted media or content does not infringe the rights of any third party. 12. Assumption of Risk & Liability 12.1 Participants acknowledge that rowing and exercise involve physical exertion and inherent risks. Participation is entirely at the competitor’s own risk. 12.2 RowVerse shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, cost, or expense arising directly or indirectly from participation in any RowVerse event, challenge, or activity. 13. Amendments 13.1 RowVerse reserves the right to amend, update, modify, postpone, suspend, or cancel any event, rule, format, scoring system, or eligibility requirement at any time without prior notice. 14. Governing Law 14.1 These Rules & Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. 15. Final Authority 15.1 RowVerse reserves the right to make all decisions relating to competition results, rankings, eligibility, verification, penalties, and disqualification at its sole discretion, and all decisions are final.
